Mark Gumbleton
Mark is a devoted and tenacious criminal defence barrister. He is proud to call Niagara Lane Chambers home, surrounded by passionate and fiercely independent advocates.
Mark completed his undergraduate degree at Deakin University and his doctorate at Monash University. He was first employed in commercial litigation before moving into crime at Aboriginal Legal Aid in the Northern Territory.
Since coming to the Victorian Bar, Mark has built a formidable reputation as a trial advocate. His particular expertise is organised and white-collar crime. Mark has been consistently recognised as a leading criminal barrister in Victoria by Doyle’s Guide. He is passionate about issues concerning the environment, mental health, and First Nations people.
