Veronika Drago

Veronika is a passionate criminal defence barrister. She has particular expertise and interest in cases involving drugs, violence and homicide – both at the trial and appellate level. She is also focused on work which involves keeping police accountable. Veronika completed her undergraduate degree at Monash University. She then began working immediately in crime at Doogue & O’Brien (now Doogue & George), then in remote Queensland for the Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Legal Service, before returning to private practice and then, ultimately, the Victorian Bar.

Veronika is a member of Niagara Lane Chambers, which is home to other dedicated criminal defence barristers. She is also committed to matters concerning human rights, First Nations people and access to justice. She regularly practices interstate, primarily in Queensland.
